Terms & Conditions
Payment
All classes must be booked and paid in advance of the session. All sessions will be paid for in 4 week blocks. If no payment has been made ahead of the date and time of the scheduled session, tuition will cease to continue. Please speak to your tutor, should you have any concerns with paying your invoice on time. Our tuition will run for 39 weeks of the year, in line with school holidays. Please contact us if you require additional tuition out with term time.
Small Group Tuition
Small Group tuition runs with a minimum of 2 students. Should additional families stop their participation in Small group tuition, you would have the choice to: 1. Use the allocated time slot for 1:1 tuition at the price specified on our most up-to-date price list, until another family signs up. 2. Cease tuition until another family signs up to Small Group Tuition. 3. Cease tuition altogether. In the event that another family wishes to stop receiving Small Group Tuition, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible (within 7 days) if another family withdraws

Notice Period
There may come a time when goals have been met or tuition is no longer required by you. Please provide 4 weeks notice prior to tuition ceasing to continue. This will allow Gem of Knowledge to increase advertising during this time to find new students to replace those who are moving on. During our sessions we may take photographs to evidence the learning that is taking place and the progress of your child. These photos may be used for publicity purposes, including social media and material for our website.
A responsible adult MUST supervise children under 12 to and from the class. Classes will begin and end promptly at the timetabled start time. Please ensure your child is collected punctually as late collection may interrupt the next scheduled session. Gem of Knowledge staff are not responsible for students outside the timetabled session.
Behaviour/Student Expectations
Whilst we acknowledge and understand that all behaviour is communication, it is crucial that during tutoring sessions children behave appropriately. Abusive or discriminatory behaviour towards tutors or other students will not be accepted. Persistent disruption that prevents learning may result in tuition being discontinued. Gem of Knowledge reserves the right to cancel any bookings for students whose behaviour is unacceptable or abusive language is used by either parent/carer or student. Please ensure children have been to the toilet prior to our session, to maximise learning time.
